Day 1 - Lunchtime

My stomach is growling. I'm starving. Everyone around me is going out to lunch or bringing lunch back here to eat, and it all smells and looks so good. Some of them got breakfast in the cafe too. The first couple of days are the hardest, right? I hope so - I hope it gets easier in a couple of days.

A friend of mine at work made 30 quarts of juice last week, which is part of what inspired me to do this. I'd been thinking about it for a while, and then one day he shows up at work with a bottle of juice for me to try. It was awesome! Apparently he and his wife got up really early in the morning and juiced like a bushel of apples, bunches of carrots, spinach, celery, broccoli, strawberries, and some other things and ended up with the 30 quarts. They do this every few weeks. So, today he brought me in like 8 bottles of juice. I also have a few bottles of V8 Fusion 100% fruit and vegetable juice at home, just in case I need it.

I can't depend on this guy to supply me with juice long term though, so at lunch time I went to the store and bought my very own juicer. I think its made by Hamilton Beach. Anyway, I'll try it out when I get home, because I have some extra apples and carrots that need to be used up. Assuming the juicer works as expected, I'll go to the store and stock up on fruits and veggies this weekend, and make and freeze a bunch of juice.

Buying the juicer also had the added benefit of distracting me for my lunch hour.
